 All-state trumpet player 1981 and 1984.
1984-1986 Duty Army 1stCavalry Division, Ft Hood Texas. Represented Ft. Hood in an Army-wide talent contest placing 2nd playing Telamann's Concerto in D on a Piccolo Trumpet. Ft. Hood Sport Parachute Club.
